Summer Term 2025 |
ScienceThis term, the children have been learning all about different types of plants and seeds. The children set up an investigation to find out how plants grow best; each group made predictions and then took one important element away to see how it would affect plant growth. They then chose their own vegetable or flower to grow and took them in turns to look after them each day. When the plants were outgrowing their pots, the children took them outside into our garden and planted them. They were amazed to see how quickly their plants had grown and which wildlife lived around and visited their plants! All of the children loved the hands-on experience of planting and growing their own seeds.

ZoolabFoxes and Badgers were visited by Zoolab this term, a very exciting annual experience in school! The children got to meet animals that they may not have seen before and even had the chance to hold them and stroke them! We learned all about their environments and habitats as well as their diets and how they keep safe from predators. |

Good luck!As the children get ready to transition to the next chapter of their education, we’d like to say a huge well done to all of the children for their resilience, progress and determination at Devonshire Infant School. It has been wonderful to see you all grow and achieve and we wish you all the best of luck at Junior School! |
