Staunton Country Park Farm
We were very excited to go on our very first school trip. We had a fun-packed day meeting and feeding the animals.
We learned all about them. Did you know that goats have rectangular pupils and a baby alpaca is called a cria?

Ducklings
What an amazing ‘eggsperience’! 5 eggs were delivered to our school.
We watched and waited and we were lucky to welcome new baby ducklings into the world.
We looked after the ducklings and enjoyed teaching them to swim

Art Week - MonetIn our Art week the children looked at and created their own pictures in the style of Claude Monet. |

MinibeastsWe found out about lots of different minibeasts and enjoyed the stories of the Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Very Busy Spider by Eric Carle. We had 5 caterpillars that turned into butterflies and we released them in our garden. |

Canoe Lake TripIn July the whole of Reception went on a school trip to Canoe Lake. We had a wonderful time. We visited the Butterfly House, the Rose garden, walked along the promenade, did a nature hunt and had a picnic! |
Bikeability
We have now finished our Bikeability programme.
Every child in Reception has had lessons to develop their cycling skills.
It was a lot of fun and every child showed resilience and increasing confidence during the training.
