Spring Term 2025 |
Growing plants!The children have been learning about plant growth and they decided to plants some bulbs to see how far theirs might grow. They carefully observed the shoots over a few weeks. They then watched their bulbs begin to grow and have now taken them home to continuing growing over the holidays. |

Doug HydeThe children have been looking at the artwork of Doug Hyde and discussing what they can see, and which their favourite is. They talked about was similar about each picture and what was different. They chose their favourite and tried to recreate it in their own style. Here is some of his artwork |

Going on a bear hunt!The children listened to the Michael Rosen story, “We’re going on a bear hunt. They then learnt how to act out the story and then retold the story using sensory items to represent each part. They really enjoyed playing with the mud and feeling ice for the cold snow. |
Spring & EasterNow spring is in the air, the children have been searching for signs of spring. They have thought about the changes and the new life they can see. They went for a spring hunt walk and went into Fernhurst garden to see the spring flowers. |
