Headteacher GovernorMiss J CollinsI have been an infant teacher since 1985, and started at Devonshire in January 2000. Initially I joined as the Deputy Head, and then after 4 years was appointed to the position of Head teacher. I love the job, which is never boring and full of different challenges! What I enjoy most about teaching is seeing children develop as individuals and watching them learn, grow in confidence, develop independence and become positive members of the community. Although I have no children of my own, my passion is my two young nieces – Lucy and Emily – who I adore! I also have a cat called Misty. During my spare time I enjoy reading and have been lucky enough to do a lot of travelling, which I also do as often as I can!
